We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at Swedish Medical Center. As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients from the operating room to the recovery area.
Responsibilities- Oversee and direct the care of post-surgical patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the recovery process.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, medication administration, and other critical care parameters, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide education, support, and reassurance throughout the recovery process.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- ACLS & PALS Certifications.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN Preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience required. PACU, Ambulatory, Critical Care or ED experience preferred.
