Position Overview: Quality Assurance Production Specialist
At Valmet, we are dedicated to fostering an environment that encourages professional growth and development. We seek a Quality Assurance Production Specialist who is passionate about quality and eager to contribute to our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Industrialized Buildings Program to guarantee adherence to regulatory standards.
- Maintain and manage quality documentation for product launches.
- Serve as a key communicator between Production, Engineering, Project Management, and Testing teams to address release criteria.
- Ensure that all documentation complies with Operating Procedures, Project Gates, and ISO standards.
- Provide quality training to production staff.
- Deliver technical assistance for Analytic products, solutions, and production challenges.
- Implement preventative measures to address non-conformities in products, processes, and quality systems.
- Compile and present internal quality performance reports on a monthly basis.
- Engage in the establishment of quality standards, policies, and programs.
- Promote Continuous Improvement initiatives utilizing methodologies such as Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Evaluate Key Performance Indicators and Cost of Quality metrics to identify areas for enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in a quality-focused role within a manufacturing environment.
- Associate degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience in an ISO 9001 certified organization.
- Familiarity with electrical controls and wiring diagrams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated history of driving continuous quality improvements in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring standards, methods, and testing procedures.
This position requires a mechanically inclined, self-driven individual who is committed to excellence. A valid driver's license is necessary for this role.
