- Work closely with outside sales representatives to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Focus on offering the right part the first time, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Exhaust all resources to find a part for a customer when it is not in stock.
- Offer all necessary parts to customers for their jobs, promoting flyer products and known specials.
- Notify customers when their parts orders arrive and follow up on back-ordered parts daily.
- Ensure all invoices, orders, and confirmations are approved and signed by customers.
- May be assigned a section of the showroom or parts storage area to maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Take payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
- Document all paperwork and solicit assigned accounts by phone.
- Keep all work areas clean, orderly, and free of clutter.
- Multi-year experience in parts counter duties, including researching part numbers, invoicing, and add-on selling.
- Functional knowledge of HD truck dealership parts operations.
- Experience managing a team is a plus.
The work environment is fast-paced and requires extended periods of standing, sitting, and working with business systems. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
