Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

At Driscoll Children's Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and assist physicians with all ultrasound procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare accurate and detailed preliminary reports for physicians, utilizing your expertise and knowledge of medical imaging.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and that supplies are adequately stocked.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in departmental and hospital-wide process improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and quality improvement projects.
- Collaborate with other imaging professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Registry in Sonography (ARDMS or RCVT) or Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- One year allowance to obtain registry.
- Registered Echo Tech (ARDMS or CCI) or Registry eligible.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional patient care and service, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Interpersonal Skills: Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Adaptability/Flexibility: Demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, maintaining a positive attitude and composure under pressure.
