We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at the University Medical Center of El Paso. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Diagnostic Imaging Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of Ultrasound procedures on patients of varying ages, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
- Manage patient care needs while patients are in the Department for procedures, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of department-specific systems, improving the quality of patient care and contributing to the growth and success of our Diagnostic Imaging Services.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and improve patient outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in Ultrasound procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- One year of work-related experience in Ultrasound or a related field.
- ARDMS (American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certification in SPI (Physics) and ONE of the following certifications: ABD, OB/GYN, VT, BR, FE, MSKS required.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Sonography (S): VS, BS required.
- CPR certification.
- Associate of Applied Sciences in Ultrasound required.
