Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field inspections to document onsite conditions and determine the cause of structural failures and construction defects.
  • Prepare and provide oral and written reports, timely, to clients and stakeholders.
  • May be called upon for expert witness testimony in court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and experts to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, building codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

  • BSCE from an accredited school, required.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in structural engineering and forensic investigations.
  • P.E. license in the state applying to, required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, required.
  • Strong understanding of building materials, residential and commercial construction, and building codes.
