We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineering Intern to join our team at Walker Consultants. As a key member of our project team, you will assist in the design, restoration, and building envelope projects, including learning about project elements, preparing project documents, and participating in onsite condition assessment teams.

Responsibilities

- Assist project teams on design, restoration, and building envelope projects
- Learn about project elements and how they form a completed project
- Prepare project documents, including drawings and reports
- Participate in onsite condition assessment teams to determine causes and solutions of deterioration or confirm as-built conditions
- Visit job sites to observe construction and submit field reports to Project Managers as needed
- Assist with the structural design of conventional elements of projects
- Review shop drawings and submittals

Qualifications

- Junior or Senior level standing (or Master's student) in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Overall GPA of 3.25 or higher
- Strong computer, writing, communication, and team skills
- Willingness to travel for field visits
