Job Summary

Origis Energy is seeking a highly skilled Solar Site Lead/Supervisor to oversee the operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar power plants. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plants, troubleshooting system problems, and providing training and development opportunities for solar technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain utility-scale solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures
  • Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Provide training and development opportunities for solar technicians
  • Manage inventory control of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Maintain high quality control on provided tools, vehicles, and materials
  • Ensure continuing education to meet safety and plant requirements
  • Maintain the Plant's vegetation requirements; includes mowing and spraying routinely
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License REQUIRED
  • Inverter Specialist or Solar Technician with 3+ years' experience; Knowledgeable of renewable energy peculiarities; expertise in DC array technology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic electrical calculations, read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 Lbs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of renewable energy industry trends and technologies
  • Experience with solar power plant operations and maintenance
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and circuit analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
