Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Science Intern to join our Data Science Management team within the Collections department. As a Data Science Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including data analysis, modeling, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Design, develop, and evaluate basic predictive models and algorithms with some complexity.
  • Model Development: Analyze and interpret results with some complexity.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and participate in team projects and initiatives.
  • Communication: Utilize effective written and verbal communication to document and present findings.
Requirements
  • Education: Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Data & Analytics, Computer Science, or other STEM-related degree.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced skill in interpreting, extrapolating, and interpolating data for statistical research and modeling. Advanced knowledge and experience with time series modeling (ex. ARIMA, Linear Regression, OLS, Holt-Winters, TBATS).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, self-starter with significant experience in managing multiple priorities independently, and advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
