Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Attendant to join our team at the Atlantic City Convention Center. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the success of our events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Custodial Tasks: Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning, and scrubbing, as assigned.
  • Event Preparation: Prepare facilities for events by setting up chairs, stages, tables, and counters, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ground Cleaning and Trash Removal: Clean and remove trash from the grounds, including up to 50 pounds of debris.
  • Interior and Exterior Glass Cleaning: Clean interior and exterior glass surfaces.
  • Office Cleaning: Clean offices and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Cleaning Equipment: Use cleaning equipment as required upon completion of training.
  • Floor and Carpet Cleaning: Clean and prepare floors and carpets.
  • Setup and Cleaning: Set up chairs, tables, and staging as required, and clean and polish furniture.
  • Restroom Cleaning: Clean and maintain restrooms during events and for regular building maintenance.
  • Waste and Recycling: Handle all waste and participate in the recycling program.
  • Additional Duties: Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Flexibility: Ability to accept daily assignments and duties.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to physically perform the duties required of this position, including walking long distances and standing for extended periods.
  • Communication: Ability to follow and respond appropriately to oral and written instructions.
  • Safety: Understanding and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Availability: Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as necessary.
  • Task Completion: Ability to complete tasks timely and effectively.
  • Work Environment: Ability to maintain the cleanliness of the work environment, janitor closets, housekeeping carts, etc.
