Position Overview:

The Sourcing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Procurement Team by facilitating the efficient acquisition of materials, equipment, and services essential for our construction projects. This role involves engaging with subcontractors and suppliers during the bidding process, collaborating closely with the Preconstruction Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and promote all safety protocols, ensuring compliance with our core value of prioritizing safety in all operations.
  • Compile a list of potential subcontractors and suppliers, manage the solicitation process, and assist in evaluating bids.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to clarify project scopes and conduct thorough analyses.
  • Process and manage all contractual agreements within the purchasing system, including generating and distributing contracts and purchase orders.
  • Maintain an organized contract management system, ensuring timely updates and documentation.
  • Engage with vendors and subcontractors to address and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Assist in troubleshooting purchase order and subcontract issues as they occur.
  • Contribute to the development of training programs for internal departments.
  • Support the Preconstruction Department with project analysis, takeoff, and pricing for various heavy civil projects.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by management to meet corporate needs.

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of experience in Civil Construction is required.
  • Experience in Field Operations, Estimating, or Contract Management is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and familiar with estimating software.
  • Experience with computerized takeoff and design programs is advantageous.
