About the Role

We are seeking a talented technologist to join our Portfolio Management Technology team at Charles Schwab. As a Software Developer 4, you will play a key role in developing software and solutions for our private cloud-based risk management platform, Advanced Collateral Management System (ACMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate complex user requests and clarify objectives in a clear and concise manner
  • Conduct and prepare feasibility studies for new and existing applications
  • Lead projects with moderate complexity and scope
  • Make a positive influence on team members and peers
  • Provide technical expertise
  • Work on Proof Of Concepts (POCs) using new/emerging technology/tools
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in a software development role
  • Experience with full stack application development technologies, RESTful APIs, Relational and Document-Based databases, and Cloud technologies
  • 5+ years of coding experience in C#/.NET
  • Experience with IBM MQ, Kafka, Aerospike (NoSQL) database, Splunk (logging), JSON/XML, PCF (Cloud), Agile Practices etc.
  • Experience being a technical lead for a team and/or project
  • Ability to produce detailed design with help from leads and architects and communicate the design to the necessary stakeholders
  • Ability to coordinate with teams across different geographic locations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and effectively interact and collaborate with all types of stakeholders, both technical and business, peers, and leaders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies
  • Strong customer focus with a sense of ownership and determination to drive solutions in a collaborative environment
  • Expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker and Kubernetes
  • Exposure to front end system integration with Pega/Appian BPM tools
  • Familiarity with Schwab Technology ecosystem
