Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated LPN to join our team at Summa Health System. As a Neurosurgery Office Nursing Professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and coordinate nursing care for patients to achieve optimal health outcomes.
  • Participate in patient-focused care teams to deliver exceptional service.
  • Maintain and adapt to daily operations, interpret and execute provided instructions, and work reliably in a medical office environment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or a school accepted for candidacy status from an accrediting body.
  • Current license to practice practical nursing in the State of Ohio.
  • Additional related previous experience may be required for various practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and EMR.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Maintains HIPAA confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel between locations as needed within the medical group.
  • Ability to obtain BLS within Summa Health.
  • Must pass yearly clinical skill competencies.
  • Required ability to handle bodily fluids and possible exposure to communicable disease.
  • Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other health care professionals in exchanging information and assisting with patient care.
  • Ability to communicate with patients, families, visitors, and communicating representatives in assisting to achieve health care goals.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects. Ability to bend, stand, and walk for extended time.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $22.39/hr - $26.87/hr. Please note that the salary range is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials, and many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location, are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
