Job Summary

The LPN School Health Specialist provides school health services to the student population as directed by the School Health Services Clinical Coordinator (Registered Nurse). This role requires a strong understanding of nursing principles and the ability to communicate effectively with parents, school authorities, and allied professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver school health services as directed by the Registered Nurse and contracts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records and documents services rendered.
  • Provide routine, special needs, and emergency first aid care within the department.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with parents, guardians, school authorities, and allied professionals.
  • Participate in educational efforts of the department and the hospital.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients served.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in healthcare.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software.
Work Environment
