Manufacturing Engineer II

Sloan, a leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems, is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team in Franklin Park, IL. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing processes to produce our product lines economically and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement CNC machining processes for parts, including setup sheets, tool preset drawings, tool holder selection, and cutting tool selection.
- Program 2 & 3 Axis CNC Equipment, creating new programs from scratch to produce new parts to print.
- Troubleshoot CNC Machining tolerance issues, program issues, setup issues, and other manufacturing quality-related issues with setup and operators on the manufacturing floor.
- Responsible for continuous process improvement, tracked by quality yields and standard labor costs.
- Analyze, review, and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using LEAN manufacturing techniques.
- Determine and establish overall manufacturing engineering requirements for items such as machinery, equipment, tooling, manufacturing methods, and processes.
- Prepare routings, process sheets, work instructions, and process drawings as required, establishing feeds, speeds, cycle times, and other operating parameters for all types of equipment.
- Train supervisors, group leaders, and operators in new processes or products.
- Identify and mitigate safety hazards throughout the facility.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ Years Manufacturing experience
- 5+ Years Manufacturing/industrial engineering
- 5+ Years CNC Programming & Troubleshooting Skills
- Organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
- Ability to trouble shoot problems with production process parts, and equipment
