Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Electrician to join our team at Dulles Discovery in Herndon, VA. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining electrical equipment in the Central Utility Plant and Dulles Discovery buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including switchgear, motors, control systems, transformers, electrical panels, and MCCs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Identify and implement corrective actions to address deficiencies in electrical systems.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to provide solutions to site issues.
- Monitor and supervise electrical subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
- Journeyman License or higher in electrical work.
- Seven or more years of experience in maintenance and repairs on commercial-industrial building electrical equipment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Practical knowledge of electrical switchgear and building electrical systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an ISSA TS/SCI w/Poly security clearance.
- Heavy physical effort, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling equipment and supplies.
- Prolonged standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
