About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Controls Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Data Center Controls Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and servicing highly reliable electrical and mechanical control systems for our data centers.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, which are the backbone of our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with our team of software, hardware, and network engineers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of industrial controls systems, controllers, and programming, as well as experience working with mission-critical low and medium voltage electrical and/or mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and service highly reliable electrical and mechanical control systems for our data centers.
  • Work closely with our team of software, hardware, and network engineers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of our data centers, which are the backbone of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with our team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support the design, deployment, and operation of our control systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with industrial controls systems, controllers, and programming.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with mission-critical low and medium voltage electrical and/or mechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial controls systems, controllers, and programming.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
