About the Role

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in the installation, maintenance, and repair of our fiber optic network.

This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity and reliability of our service and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect jobs and/or worksite restoration to ensure quality work performed by employees and subcontractors meets quality expectations, customer standards, and contract requirements
  • Read and interpret utility maps/prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities
  • Operate different electronic detection equipment to locate and mark underground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits
  • Contact subcontractor for follow-up on jobs (daily)
  • Coordinate activities with crews, subcontractors, Safety, and field management
  • Assist with resolution of customer/homeowner complaints
  • Perform other duties as necessary

You will provide frequent and ongoing feedback to the OSP Manager to improve quality results and reduce damages.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience within the Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance industry (preferred)
  • Prior experience with installation/repair/maintenance and the location of underground utilities (preferred)
  • Able to read and interpret utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities, as well as blueprints to ensure work performed is according to contract requirements
  • Able to maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally
  • Proficient with computer skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Valid Driver's license required
