Role Summary
We are currently seeking a full-time Client Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves conducting assessments for clients, formulating Independent Living Plans, and connecting families with essential community resources. The Client Support Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting clients towards self-sufficiency through advocacy, counseling, and resource navigation. Collaboration with the Housing Specialist and providing crisis intervention will also be key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client intakes and explain program guidelines.
- Engage with clients at least twice weekly for in-person meetings.
- Develop and update Independent Living Plans for assigned families.
- Complete necessary documentation and assessments bi-weekly.
- Collaborate with Housing Specialists to identify permanent housing solutions.
- Perform regular safety inspections of client units.
- Address safety concerns and promote cleanliness and hygiene among clients.
- Assist clients in budgeting and financial planning.
- Maintain accurate records in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
- Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide advocacy and support for client needs.
- Facilitate transportation for clients when necessary.
- Collaborate with security personnel to address client-related incidents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates should possess knowledge of the homeless population and relevant policies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities, are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and familiarity with HMIS is a plus. Bilingual candidates, particularly in Spanish, are encouraged to apply. A valid and clean driver's license is also required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to navigate stairs is necessary for this position.
