Position Overview:
A Technical Assembler I is responsible for utilizing various hand and power tools, fixtures, and detailed work instructions to assemble advanced Product Inspection equipment while adhering to established safety and quality protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential duties of this role include:
- Interpreting and following comprehensive mechanical diagrams, electrical schematics, parts lists, and assembly guidelines.
- Constructing product inspection apparatus in compliance with safety assessments and mechanical/electrical standards.
- Identifying and reporting quality issues, process inefficiencies, and equipment/material concerns to the Assembly Lead or Manager.
- Completing quality documentation and checklists to ensure compliance with standards.
- Collaborating with Engineering teams to enhance process efficiencies and propose cost-reduction strategies.
- Providing on-the-job training to fellow team members as necessary.
- Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organized workspace to support manufacturing operations.
- Fostering a positive work environment through effective communication and teamwork with colleagues and management.
- Utilizing resources judiciously to achieve operational goals.
- Accurately logging time spent on various projects.
- Adhering to all organizational policies and operational procedures.
- Occasionally lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
- A commitment to safety and quality.
- Effective time management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- The capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- The physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Self-motivation and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Information:
This position is classified as safety-sensitive and is subject to drug testing in accordance with applicable laws. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
Educational Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 1-3 years of relevant assembly experience.
