Position Overview

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the financial consolidation process and will be responsible for financial statement analysis, management reporting, and data collection. This position requires a strong understanding of US GAAP and the ability to implement new accounting standards as they are issued. The ideal candidate will collaborate with teams across various locations, necessitating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the comprehensive US GAAP Global Financial Consolidation and Reporting process, which includes:
    • Preparing and communicating financial closing timelines
    • Executing quarterly close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
    • Facilitating annual close processes and preparing necessary disclosures
    • Creating financial reporting packages for various stakeholders
    • Driving process improvement initiatives
    • Conducting ad hoc financial analyses
    • Supporting the implementation of new accounting guidance
Qualifications and Experience
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience, with a preference for public accounting background
  • Familiarity with SAP GL is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Experience in the reinsurance, insurance, or financial services sectors is beneficial
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational abilities
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented with a focus on collaboration
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Analytical mindset to identify issues and develop solutions
  • Ability to recognize patterns and trends
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow
  • Holds a BS degree in accounting or finance; CPA certification is preferred but not required
