Principal Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our team at the City of Menifee, CA. As a key member of our Public Works/Engineering Department, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the planning, design, and implementation of various public works projects.

• Supervise and manage a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including the development of project plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements and city standards.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and address project-related issues.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective project management and delivery.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on traffic engineering.
• Proven track record of successful project management and leadership.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
