Principal Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our Traffic Engineering team at the City of Menifee, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in traffic engineering, project management, and team supervision.

• Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and technicians
• Lead complex traffic engineering projects, including traffic signal design, traffic studies, and traffic impact analyses
• Develop and implement traffic management plans and strategies to improve traffic flow and safety
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians to develop their skills and expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in traffic engineering, with a focus on project management and team supervision
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of California
• Strong technical skills in traffic engineering, including traffic signal design, traffic studies, and traffic impact analyses
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
