We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- 10 to 20+ years of pertinent GAAP experience, ideally with supervisory responsibilities. Experience in construction accounting is advantageous.
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is essential; CPA, CMA, or MBA credentials are preferred.
- A proven track record of stability with previous employers is required.
- Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm in an auditing capacity is a significant plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.
- Familiarity with Deltek Ajera accounting software is beneficial.
- Experience with a previous organization utilizing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a plus.
- Oversee general accounting and financial operations, including the monthly closing process.
- Assist the CFO in consolidating quarterly financial statements.
- Manage the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Handle weekly and biweekly multi-state in-house payroll processing.
- Act as a backup for essential accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable processing, accounts receivable submissions, and reconciliations.
- Maintain internal controls and safeguards for revenue receipt, cost management, program budgets, and actual expenses.
- Coordinate and prepare all internal and external financial reports in a timely manner.
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations, including cash account reconciliations.
- Manage files and oversee the annual financial statement audit process.
- Assist the CFO and management in developing annual operating budgets.
- Provide leadership and support to department personnel through coaching, mentoring, and training.
- Oversee the performance review process, including the evaluation of performance goals for staff.
- Support operations personnel with ad hoc reports, cost reviews, billing, and forecasting.
- Lead internal projects within established deadlines while managing a regular workload.

Salary Range: $120K-$170K DOE
