Program Manager - Industrial Automation

Role Overview:
The Program Manager will oversee the development and implementation of automation projects, specifically focusing on automated machining lines and machine tending applications. This role entails managing the project lifecycle from design through manufacturing and integration, ensuring adherence to budgetary and timeline constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead automation projects, ensuring timely completion and budget management.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with project documentation and specifications.
- Utilize AutoCAD and 3D viewing tools to analyze and comprehend design specifications.
- Negotiate effectively to balance customer needs with corporate objectives.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Review mechanical drawings and ensure sound mechanical design principles are applied.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mechanical Engineers, Controls Engineers, and Technicians.
- Prepare and review machine manuals and customer reports.
- Lead installation, training, and startup activities at client locations.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related fields, along with:
- Minimum of three years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least two years of Project Management experience.
- Experience in Industrial Automation and Robotics.
- Proficiency in PLC systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- A valid driving license with a clean record.
Experience with global teams is considered a plus.
