Position Summary:

The Shipping Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked and shipped in a timely manner. This position involves palletizing various products and utilizing material handling equipment to transport orders to designated shipping areas. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for tagging orders as required and performing various warehouse tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review pick lists to identify items for retrieval.
  • Utilize scanning equipment to track items and ensure accuracy.
  • Organize and pull items from designated lots.
  • Document quantities and pallet numbers for each item pulled.
  • Conduct inventory checks and note any discrepancies.
  • Prepare pallets for shipment by wrapping and securing items.
  • Process small parcel orders, including creating packing lists and invoices.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:

  • No prior experience is necessary; training will be provided.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines and operational instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills for counting and measuring.
  • Proficient in using basic computer systems and software.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires regular physical activity, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds. Candidates should be able to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.

Work Environment:

Employees may encounter moving machinery and varying noise levels in the warehouse setting. Safety protocols are in place to ensure a secure working environment.
