Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resources team in the metro Atlanta area. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless execution of payroll and benefits processes.

This is a hybrid role, requiring Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday presence in the office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll, including new hires, employee transitions, benefits maintenance, time-off tracking, and maintaining personnel files.
  • Monitor post mail, emails, and telephone calls from internal colleagues and external parties to ensure timely responses.
  • Respond to employment verification requests promptly.
  • Complete garnishment answer notices efficiently.
  • Generate regular reports and distribute them to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Extract sales commission data from the sales system and import it into the payroll system.
  • Enter garnishments and child support deductions in the payroll system and the Company's internal database.
  • Complete Qualified Medical Child Support Orders (QCSO) or National Medical Support Orders (NMSN).
  • Assist with unemployment claim requests by providing wage information and documentation.
  • Communicate benefit announcements and post them on the intranet.
  • Perform regular deduction reviews to ensure accuracy.
  • Attend new hire onboarding sessions to provide benefit education, including 401(k) information.
  • Support the 401(k) audit process by gathering documents and providing requested reports.
Requirements:
  • A minimum age requirement of 21 years old.
  • A college degree or equivalent experience in payroll/benefits.
  • Bi-lingual skills are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a company payroll/benefits function.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Paycom is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously is necessary.
Estimated Salary:

$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
