Job Summary
We seek an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a registered nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing and coordinating patient care, educating patients and the public about various health conditions, and offering advice and emotional support to patients and their family members. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
This role involves:
• Monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms or changes in patients' conditions
• Maintaining accurate, detailed reports and records
• Recording patients' medical information and vital signs
• Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions
• Modifying patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions
• Directing or supervising less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel or supervising a particular unit
• Consulting and coordinating with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans
• Monitoring all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity
• Providing care demonstrating competency in the care of the postpartum and newborn patient population
• Preparing patients for and assisting with examinations or treatments
• Providing education to patients related to self-care and newborn care
• Providing education to patients on discharge instructions
• Assisting with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and other governing bodies such as Joint Commission
• Supporting the facility's Standards of Performance and ICARE values

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
• A graduate degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Current licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing
• Current BLS certification (Other certifications as required per Provision of Care for area of employment)
• At least one year of RN experience Required
• Labor and Delivery experience preferred

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
