We are seeking a highly skilled Public Policy Manager to join our team at The Chicago Board Options Exchange. This role will be responsible for supporting the Public Policy Department and performing a combination of duties according to Department and Division guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor domestic and international regulatory and legislative initiatives that may impact the markets operated by the Company.
- Draft polished and well-articulated position papers and comment letters on market policy matters of importance to the Company.
- Support market policy communication initiatives, including managing outside consultants and generating content for the Company's web page.
- Work closely with others within the Department and Company to ensure consistent policy positions.
- Deep knowledge (5 or more years' experience) in one or more markets in which Cboe operates trading venues, including CFE and Cboe options.
- Advocacy experience related to market structure is a plus.
- Ability to lead meetings and/or independently meet with legislators or regulators and advocate on technical market structure issues.
- Strong writing skills, including experience in drafting correspondence to regulatory agencies.
- Understanding of derivatives products and markets, with market structure and legislative knowledge preferred.
- Proven ability to work well across numerous functional areas.
- Strong interpersonal skills and personal leadership.
- Ability to direct internal resources or outside consultants on projects.
- Ability to grasp and summarize complex regulatory and legislative proposals and produce clear and effective position pieces on such proposals.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to complete projects working independently and in team settings.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a challenging workload.

As required by the New York City Human Rights Law, Cboe provides a reasonable range of minimum base salary for roles that may be performed in New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including geographic location, skill set, level of experience, etc.
For New York City only, the range of starting base salary for this role is $108,000-$178,000. Additional incentive compensation and benefits may be available.
