Job Summary

First Impulse is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structured cabling, audio/video systems, and network installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and troubleshoot network cabling in commercial and hospital environments
  • Configure and install building systems, including access control, surveillance, and phone systems
  • Install and terminate data and phone jacks
  • Test and certify system cables
  • Rack and stack work, closet work, and server rack assembly

Requirements:

  • QSC Q-SYS Level One Certification
  • Basic understanding of network structure and the OSI model
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience installing and configuring building systems in a commercial environment
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience installing Category 5e/6 cable, including terminations of jacks and patch panels
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • QSC Q-SYS Level Two Certification
  • 2+ years' experience installing and servicing audio, video, and automation systems
  • Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
  • Nurse call, structured cabling, and access control experience in commercial and/or hospital work environments
