Lifting Equipment Inspector

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspection Expert to join our team at Industrial Inspection & Analysis in Oregon. As an Lifting Equipment Inspector, you will perform inspections on aerial lifts, bucket trucks, cranes, and digger derricks to ensure they are in safe working order.
About the Role
The successful candidate will conduct structural tests including acoustic emission tests to assess the integrity of the fiberglass and steel structure, magnetic particle inspections to identify surface cracks on ferrous metals, torque testing of critical fasteners, and dielectric testing to verify the electrical insulating strength.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections on lifting equipment to identify any defects or damage.
- Conduct thorough tests to assess the structural integrity of equipment.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g. mechanical engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in mechanical inspection and testing.
- Strong knowledge of lifting equipment and safety regulations.
- Able to work independently with some direction from management.
- Punctual, accountable, and provide high-quality customer service.
- Able to travel for extended periods and work varying shifts.
- Valid driver's license and pass a background check and drug screen.
