Job Overview

Landmark Equipment is seeking a skilled Forklift Service Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and supporting material handling equipment, systems, and products at customer locations or the Landmark shop.

Responsibilities
  • Examine equipment to identify malfunctions, including engine, transmission, hydraulic, electrical, brake, and fuel system issues.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble components in a clean and organized manner.
  • Repair equipment at both the Landmark shop and customer locations.
  • Interact with customers in person or via phone to address their needs and concerns.
  • Manage and schedule PMs (Periodic Maintenance) and follow up on repairs.
  • Produce completed work orders and submit them on a timely basis with accurate and detailed information about work performed.
Requirements
  • The ability to troubleshoot, repair, and recommend future services on various types of heavy equipment.
  • Flexibility to move between jobs while prioritizing tasks based on importance.
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and coworkers.
  • Mechanical knowledge to repair unfamiliar equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
  • Previous mechanical experience or technical schooling.
  • Safe operation of forklifts, boom lifts, telescopic forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
  • Efficient teamwork and collaboration.
  • Good attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Clear and professional communication with customers.
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Basic hand tools for common repairs.
  • Professional appearance.
