The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring adherence to hazardous waste management standards, facilitating safety training programs, and fostering a secure workplace environment. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers, managing compliance obligations, and executing various initiatives to enhance our safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hazardous Waste Oversight: Comprehend and enforce hazardous waste management practices, ensuring proper segregation of materials.
- Training Facilitation: Lead educational sessions on Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) compliance.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work alongside vendors to guarantee the safe transport and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Safety Orientation: Deliver fundamental safety training for new employees and visitors, emphasizing critical safety measures.
