As a part-time faculty member, you will play a critical role in engaging and educating our students, promoting inclusive educational environments, and contributing to the academic success of our diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Photography courses, promoting engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the college's academic goals and objectives.
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to promote student growth and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and departmental members to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings and activities to promote a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Master's degree in Photography, Fine Arts, or Art, or a Bachelor's degree in any of the above and a Master's degree in History or Humanities.
- A sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
- Ability to teach a variety of Photography courses, including introductory and advanced courses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to use technology, including learning management systems and digital tools, to enhance teaching and learning.
- Doctoral degree in Photography, Fine Arts, or Art.
- Experience teaching Photography courses at the community college level.
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including students with disabilities and English language learners.
- Experience using technology, including digital tools and learning management systems, to enhance teaching and learning.
- A competitive salary schedule, with a starting rate of $85.09 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $19.91 per hour for classroom assignments.
