Job Overview:

This position is part of the State of Montana's Property Valuation team and is responsible for leading a team of Property Valuation Specialists. The successful candidate will work out of the Bozeman or Ennis field office and may be required to travel 50% of the time to work in all 9 counties within Region 4.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and perform field audit work to facilitate data research, verification, computation, and processing.
  • Direct and oversee a range of property appraisal and assessment support functions.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in appraisal and personal property, as well as state and department policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
Working Conditions:
  • Office environment with occasional travel.
  • May require working hours exceeding 40 hours from time to time, including weekends.
