Job Summary

Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a highly skilled Security Officer II PRN to provide exceptional security services to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, visitors, and property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
  • Investigate and manage all security incidents and hazards on the premises.
  • Maintain knowledge of and follow policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans.
  • Assist in facilitating planned drills and simulations.
  • Conduct designated safety/security rounds.
  • Provide information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
  • Handle with Care Training required within 30 days of hire.
  • Successful completion of handcuff training required within 60 days of hire.
