Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Baker to join our team at Nothing Bundt Cakes #195. As an Assistant Baker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality cakes are consistently created for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Baker in following proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieving productivity goals.
  • Effectively utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes.
  • Prepare raw ingredients and equipment for baking, place cake pans into a hot oven, and monitor the baking process.
  • Assist with daily baking and production flow and processes.
  • Adhere to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintain baking and refrigeration logs.
  • Clean, sanitize, and restock workstation and assist baker to ensure all baking supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift.
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines and company policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
  • Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Baker or in another operational support role at a bakery, restaurant, or foodservice environment is a plus.
  • Ability to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
  • Ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks that require the strength to lift items of moderate to heavyweight and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate commercial-grade ovens and other bakery equipment and work adjacent to a high-heat source.
  • Ability to evaluate products, processes, information, and surroundings to determine compliance with standards.
  • Ability to possess the discipline and attention to detail to strictly adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards.
  • Ability to be diligent, organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
