Job Title: Maintenance Technician

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization to find a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team in Elgin, IL. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a refrigerated food manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, establish failure problems, and resolve them in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
  • Execute repairs and replacements of defective parts or components as needed to maintain equipment functionality.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in maintenance of equipment in a manufacturing setting, preferably in a refrigerated food manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively prioritize and manage maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule as needed, including occasional weekends and overtime.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to established safety protocols and procedures.
