Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Mississippi State Penitentiary in Parchman, Mississippi. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with vital sign measurements, including height and weight
  • Providing support with PPDs and EKGs
  • Collecting blood samples
  • Tracking and recording patient intake and output
  • Supporting patient treatments, such as dressing changes, decubitus ulcer care, and tracheostomy care

You will also be expected to adhere to strict infection control procedures, schedule appointments, and participate in disaster drills.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certification from a recognized professional organization
  • Must pass initial and ongoing security clearance requirements
  • Acute care experience preferred
