Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Mississippi State Penitentiary in Parchman, Mississippi. As a member of our healthcare team, you will assist physicians and nurses in meeting the health care needs of patients.

Responsibilities
  • Taking vital signs, height and weight
  • Assisting with PPDs and EKGs
  • Drawing blood
  • Measuring and recording intake and output
  • Assisting with patient treatments such as dressing changes, decubitus ulcer, and tracheostomy care

You will also be responsible for adhering to Universal Precaution procedures and established Infection Control procedures, scheduling appointments, and participating in disaster drills.

Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Certified by professional organization in the state
  • Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements
  • Acute care experience preferred
