Ultrasound Fellowship Opportunity in Emergency Medicine

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking multiple candidates to join the faculty as tenure-ineligible Clinical Instructors for its Ultrasound Fellowship. This esteemed program is designed to produce national leaders in emergency ultrasound and is directed by Dr. Christopher Thom, Ultrasound Director.
The Department of Emergency Medicine has a rich academic history, with well-established education programs for medical students, residents, and fellows. The University of Virginia Medical Center is a 600-bed tertiary care and Level 1 Trauma center located in Charlottesville, offering a unique opportunity for clinical and laboratory-based research and teaching pursuits.
Qualified applicants must have an MD or DO and have completed an ABEM/AOBEM accredited Emergency Medicine residency or ABEM/AOBEM accredited Emergency Medicine, or approved subspecialty, fellowship. Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible and be eligible to obtain clinical privileges in the UVA Department of Emergency Medicine, or subspecialty, prior to July 2025.
