CNC Engineering Job Opportunity

CNC Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team in the City of Industry office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, maintaining, and operating municipal electrical systems, including underground distribution lines, customer services, distributing substations, street lighting, and electrical services to public buildings and parking facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the design and review of detailed design and construction drawings for underground distribution lines, on-site transformation facilities, and distributing substations.
  • Plan and manage electrical equipment specifications and detailed materials lists for rebuilding or adding to an electrical distribution system and public facilities.
  • Investigate transformer loads and review load additions to existing electrical services to determine overloaded transformers and required replacement.
  • Manage projects from planning to completion, including budget and schedule.
  • Prepare reports, lead meetings, and make presentations to CNC Management and clients.
  • Perform field work, such as inspecting existing conditions and new additions or progress of construction on projects.
  • Develop an understanding of the operation of electrical distribution systems, substations, and street lighting systems, including power purchase agreements and compliance with current laws and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with a Power Option.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of software such as ETAP and SKM used for power system analysis.
  • California Professional Electrical Engineer license is required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) license is preferred.
