Position Overview

Your Role as a Metallurgical Laboratory Specialist

I. Job Objective

In your role within the technical center, you will be instrumental in delivering value to our clients through a variety of services, including product innovation, laboratory testing, and troubleshooting. Your duties will encompass metallurgical assessments, providing technical insights, and participating in research and development initiatives.

The investigations you will undertake primarily focus on Bekaert products such as steel cords, wire rods, and mechanical components.

II. Role Responsibilities

Investigation Duties

Perform metallurgical investigations pertaining to customer feedback, operational challenges, and R&D projects.

Assist in process and product innovation by evaluating material performance within Bekaert's operations.

Design and conduct laboratory experiments, maintain testing equipment, and collaborate with external laboratories for comprehensive analysis.

Engage in cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise to contribute effectively.

Operational Duties

Plan and execute tests while ensuring compliance with global standards.

Adhere to quality assurance protocols and safety regulations.

Oversee maintenance activities and manage reporting responsibilities.

Key Skills & Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering is required.

1-2 years of experience in metallurgical testing is preferred.

Essential Skills

In-depth knowledge of metallurgy principles and material characterization methods.

Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in English and Hindi.

Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.

Preferred Skills

Experience in microscopy and wire metallurgy.

Basic familiarity with Quality Management Systems and experience in the steel sector.
