Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team in a multi-specialty suite setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients into the practice management system, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Communicate with insurance companies and other medical offices to obtain referrals and verifications of coverage.
  • Perform scanning and abstracting duties, maintaining patient records and contributing to smooth patient flow.
  • Answer and screen office calls, make patient appointments, and take messages as needed.
  • Perform daily business operations, ensuring the efficient running of the office.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; documentation of graduation from an accredited training program preferred.
  • One year of clerical/billing experience in a medical office setting, preferred.
  • Customer Service experience, strongly preferred.
Working Conditions

The Office Assistant will work in a cooperative, friendly, and results-oriented manner with all other members of the practice staff and the Physician(s). The physical demands of this position are classified as light work, requiring occasional exertion of up to 20 pounds of force and frequent use of arm and/or leg controls.
