Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Assistant Controller within our finance department. This position is crucial in assisting the Controller with a variety of financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support month-end closing activities, including managing accruals, depreciation, and inventory adjustments.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and address any discrepancies that arise.
  • Prepare and submit state sales tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Generate general journal entries and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Oversee fixed asset schedules and ensure accuracy.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Assist external auditors and tax professionals by preparing necessary workpapers.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to provide accounting support and guidance.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting or Auditing.
  • Possession of a CPA certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and state sales tax regulations.
