Responsibilities

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Chandler Regional Medical Center is designed to provide comprehensive education and supervised exercise for individuals recovering from heart disease or those at risk. This program consists of three distinct phases: Inpatient (Phase I), Outpatient Phase II, and Outpatient Phase III. Our inpatient staff operates on an 8-hour shift schedule five days a week, while outpatient staff work 10-hour shifts on designated days to accommodate patient needs.

The interdisciplinary team includes registered nurses, exercise physiologists, and a registered dietitian, all collaborating to ensure optimal patient care.

Job Summary / Purpose

This role is essential in advancing the mission and vision of Dignity Health by working closely with the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation teams, cardiologists, and other healthcare staff to deliver safe and effective care based on best practice guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver direct patient care that addresses individual needs, fostering a positive work environment.
  2. Develop and update exercise prescriptions, collaborating with healthcare providers and patients to set achievable goals.
  3. Guide patients in the use of exercise equipment while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  4. Conduct functional fitness assessments and body composition analyses.
  5. Provide educational resources for patients participating in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
Qualifications

Minimum:

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit is required.

Required Licensure and Certifications:
Current American Heart Association BLS certification and ACLS certification within six months of hire.

Pay Range:
$33.28/hour
