About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical First Assistant to join our team at AdventHealth Celebration. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons in preparation for and during surgical procedures, utilizing physician preference cards to set up operating suites.
  • Determine appropriate surgical equipment and supplies, based on physician's preference.
  • Achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis by applying appropriate techniques.
  • Assist with body plane closures, wound dressing applications, and securing drainage systems.
  • Position patients appropriately, use stabilizing equipment when necessary, and prioritize patient comfort and safety.
Requirements
  • Minimum qualifications: American Board of Surgical Assistants, Basic Life Support - CPR Cert, Certified Surgical Technical First Assistant.
  • Preferred qualifications: Two years of technical experience.
