Dermatology Assistant

Job OverviewOnSpot Dermatology is a mobile dermatology practice that provides on-the-spot full-service dermatology care to residents and local businesses. We are seeking a part-time medical assistant to join our team.

As a medical assistant at OnSpot Dermatology, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to our dermatology providers. Your duties will include:

• Meeting our mobile medical vehicle on-site at a resident community
• Rooming and intaking patients, completing medical history, chief complaint, and review of systems
• Scribing for the provider during patient exams
• Assisting the provider as needed on medical procedures such as biopsies, LN2 treatment, and surgical excisions
• Assisting the provider as needed on minor cosmetic procedures such as botox and fillers
• Ordering lab testing, as requested by the provider
• Ensuring all specimens are meticulously labeled, processed, and sent to the appropriate lab
• Checking medical supplies and reordering as needed
• Contacting patients with results and discussing provider recommendations
• Communicating with patients regarding prescription refills and other questions, triaging to the provider when needed
• Placing recalls in the system or scheduling follow-up appointments when needed
• Providing excellent customer service and representing the provider in a warm and friendly manner

OnSpot Medical Assistants are a critical part of the healthcare team, providing the first clinical impression and representing the provider they are working with. We are a new concept in healthcare that brings the practice directly to the patients to make it convenient for residents to see a provider. Our highly-trained dermatology providers conduct skin cancer screenings, biopsy suspicious lesions, treat skin disorders, surgically manage premalignant and malignant skin lesions, and perform injectable cosmetic procedures.
