Job Overview
Sigma Healthcare is currently seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech therapy services onsite for our contracted facility in Austin, TX.
The ideal candidate will have experience with swallowing disorders and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid MD state SLP license and Certificate of Clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) are required.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech therapy services to acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatients in compliance with policies and procedures established by LHD rehabilitation services department.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of quality assurance programs.
- Provide pediatric school-based services part-time throughout the school year.
Requirements
- One year of experience with swallowing disorders or extensive dysphagia management experience within internship/externship program.
- Training and knowledge in prevention; screening, evaluation, and assessment; planning, implementing, and monitoring intervention; consultation with and education for team members, including families and other professionals; service coordination; transition planning; advocacy, awareness, and advancement of the knowledge base in early intervention, to treat, and help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in patients.
- Ability to remain pleasant and patient, and have good communication skills.
- Computer proficiency required.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
