Job Description

Job Summary:

Quad is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Freight Coordinator to join our team at our Franklin, WI Packaging facility. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Accurately monitor production schedules and inventory levels to ensure all products are available when needed for interplant or outbound shipments.
  • Logistics Coordination: Work effectively with co-workers and internal/external contacts to coordinate shipments, transfers, and pick-ups.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare required paperwork and documentation, such as pick lists, bills of lading, and conformance documentation, as needed.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate variances from plan to manufacturing and administrative departments, and attend daily scheduling meetings to ensure seamless operations.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Set up shipments with carrier services for jobs shipping via truckload/LTL and our truck.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Previous experience in logistics or freight coordination, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) and office equipment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess good follow-up and excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate both verbally and written.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and priorities, and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
